Dipendra K. Khanal is the writer and director of the Nepali movie Aama. The film has parallels to the painful tale of a mother and daughter. Yagya (Desh Bhakta Khanal) is involved in an accident in the film. His wife discovers that and takes him to the hospital, but she needs to get a lot of money to heal the wound. She calls her daughter Aarati (Surakshya Panta) for support because she finds it difficult to make all arrangements by herself. However, Aarati struggles greatly to provide for her family because her in-laws don’t help much. She even invites her brother, who has been living overseas, to pay a visit; he is unable to manage it, so she must take care of her family, who are in a life-or-death scenario.
